2008 Meeting Schedule:

Monday,  November 3, 2008 - Educational Meeting with guest speaker, Dr. Pinter from the New Down Syndrome Clinic at OHSU at 7pm, at the WESD located at 2611 Pringle Rd, Salem, OR 97301.

Dr. Joseph Pinter will be speaking at the Salem WESD in the Willamette Room on November 3.  Dr. Pinter is now practicing at the Down syndrome Clinic at the CDRC at OHSU.  The clinic tracks children with Down syndrome from birth to adulthood.  The clinic provides genetic counseling, preventative care, cardiology, audiologic evaluations, ophthalmologic evaluations, thyroid, nutrition, dental exams, celiac screenings, parent support, developmental and educational services, neck-cervical spine x-rays and neurological exams, pneumococcal conjugate vaccine series.  The clinic has a focus on what is typical for children with Down syndrome.  If you are unable to attend, but would like to make an appointment, please contact your primary care physician for a referral to Dr. Pinter at CDRC in Portland.  The appointments last about 4 hours and you meet with several Doctors and Various Therapists who evaluate your child.  CDRC also has a clinic in Eugene with Dr. Randy Phelps, a Developmental Pediatrician.  Childcare will be provided, please let us know if you will need this service by calling Cory Harrington at 503-463-9788. 

Thursday, November 20, 2008 - Mom's Meeting in Keizer at Steam Heat at 9am.  Steam Heat is located at 3860 River Rd. in Keizer

Join us in a time to meet and connect with other mom's in the Salem/Keizer area.  This is a recurring event that happens on the 3rd Thursday morning of every month.

Saturday, December 6, 2008 -  Christmas Social at NW Kids Club at 6pm-8:30pm.  NW Kids Club is located at 1810 Freeway Ct Suite 150 in Salem. 

Join Mr and Mrs Claus for our annual Christmas Social at NW Kids Club, which is located just off the Market Street Exit in Salem.  The facility is a great indoor play facility with a infants area, large sandbox, miscellaneous riding toys, bounce house, and play structure.  Kids of all ages are welcome to come and have fun. We will also provide games and crafts.
